Inverell Station Homestead, Inverell
Inverell Station Homestead was originally named “Goodwood”, part of Inverell Station. When the owners purchased Inverell Station, the home didn’t look anything like it does today and yet you wouldn’t know it has been renovated.
One of the requests from the owners was they didn’t want the renovation to look “added onto”! So together, Danbuilt & the Owners set about re-designing the home to meet their lifestyle needs.
This extensive renovation has been added below, above and around the original house. There are only 2 external walls from the original house still evident today. Added below the home was a cellar, workshop, storage and a utility room for services, there is even warm running water to the dog bath set up in the workshop!
The renovation above saw the old unusual shape roof with vertical tiles on the sides on the top story, removed and a conventional roof pitched and a carport area added.
Around the original house wrapped, a formal lounge & dining this features a curved glass wall overlooking the property. A kitchen with walk in pantry and walk in cool room & living area, main bedroom, ensuite and walk in robe and an extension of the verandah into a gorgeous screened enclosed, outdoor area and verandah at entry side added.
The space that was left in the old house was converted into a bar room, entry, stairwell to cellar, office, laundry, powder room and the garage. Upstairs the original 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms got a fresh look with a kitchenette being added and the balcony enclosed with shutter windows which overlooks the crocket lawn and garden with pool and tennis court.
This home is a wonderful example of what careful re-designing and planning can achieve in a renovation, a classic timeless home that is now automated into the 21st century with C-Bus wiring, reverse cycle air conditioning and under tile heating in bathrooms.
A fantastic effort from every sub-contracting trade and the team at Danbuilt, that brought this home to life.
